I still remember as if it were yesterday when, while in Budapest on a trip, I received that call from Sandra and David to ask if they had their wedding date free. They were beginning to plan all the details of their wedding at Finca la Sierra, León (Spain). They couldn’t be more excited… At that moment I had full availability for their wedding day and when they began to tell me all the details of their wedding and why I should be their wedding photographer, everything fell into place…The words were “We want your look at our wedding”. Really it´s beautiful when your style of wedding photos is projected on the head of a couple for one of the most beautiful days of their lives. To create your best memory.
Although… I must say that Sandra once commented that she had my Instagram account well booked for when they wil beplanned her wedding (That’s if she’s a fan! Very grateful). I also take the opportunity to let you know her work on @sandradiez_fotografia. Yes! She is a photographer and does some lovely family and newborn photo session.
Transporting us back to the day of the wedding… Tell you that it was a rural wedding held in the afternoon.
To work at ease and to be able to photograph every detail of the assembly at Finca la Sierra, I traveled early in the morning. Also there I met my friends from Perspective, responsible for creating the wedding video. I began photographing as I like, every detail, rings, headdress, shoes, the beautiful wedding dress by designer Ernesto Terrón, the bride’s bouquet in the purest rural wedding style, etc…
The couple then quietly began to get dressed, enjoying every moment with their family.
After dressed moment, we had planned one of the most emotional moments of the wedding, a First Look. And it is that Sandra and David were clear that they wanted to live and feel that day in a special way. To do this, I led David to the greenhouse, where Sandra got dressed. With her eyes closed, making the rest of the senses more present, she… they joined hands, caressing each other and her hair began to bristle with emotion. Very slowly, they approached, opened their eyes and created the most beautiful moment ever lived.
The ceremony began, where there was no lack of wedding decoration in any corner of the area. A ceremony full of speeches and emotional stories from family and friends, and where the words of both made more than one tear drop.
Once the ceremony was over and the wedding session was made at Finca la Sierra, began a cocktail party loaded with dances and traditional food from various parts of the world. The banquet left us all with an open wedding with a beautiful setting and wedding banquet decoration, all of which was always set to live music.
They ended the night dancing until dawn. And it is that a wedding is to live it and enjoy it with the style that Sandra and David did.
