It’s always a pleasure make wedding photos in Cantabria, and even more so when it’s at La Huerta de las Cubas. La Huerta is one of my favorite wedding venues in Cantabria, and I had been eagerly looking forward to Andrea and David’s special wedding day.

I traveled there with my fellow videographers, Older Garcia, with whom I team up for a great number of weddings every year—we’re like family.

The couple arranged all their preparations at La Casona de Suesa, a well-known manor house dating back to 1731, located very close to Santander. It’s a perfect place to get ready and capture every detail in such a beautiful setting.

Preparations are always moments filled with emotion, especially when you’re sharing something so important with your family. During that time, we experienced such beautiful moments that just thinking about them gives me goosebumps.

The weddings at La Huerta de las Cubas ´ve something truly special… You step in, surrounded by lush greenery, and immediately realize it’s the perfect place for a wedding ceremony in Cantabria.

Andrea and David walked down paths lined with hydrangeas to the spot they had lovingly decorated, where all their guests were waiting for them. We enjoyed a ceremony filled with anecdotes, shared memories, and emotions—yes, plenty of emotions.

There was a palpable sense of warmth and love for them from everyone present.

With tears still in their eyes, we slipped away to enjoy a moment of intimacy, take a breather, and capture a wedding photos at La Huerta de las Cubas.

We managed the wedding timeline perfectly, and before joining the cocktail hour with all the guests, we took a moment to admire how stunning the tables looked with all the floral decorations.

I don’t think there’s a better wedding moment than, after everything experienced, arriving at the cocktail hour to… hug, kiss, laugh, cry tears of joy all over again, drink, eat, laugh some more, and take photos with everyone.

By then, the guests were already starting to gear up for what would become the biggest wedding party ever. Yes… they had prepared liters and liters of shots to kick off the wedding banquet.

Once the wedding banquet was over, a grand party was planned, but before it began, we decided to take a moment to breathe. We took advantage of some of the most beautiful corners of La Huerta de las Cubas to create natural wedding photos with Andrea and David.

The most anticipated moment of the night was about to begin… Los Toldos Band arrived, and their show turned the entire wedding upside down. It was pure madness, packed with 80s and 90s hits and frenetic rhythms.

It was undoubtedly the best way to end Andrea and David’s day and their wedding at La Huerta de las Cubas in Cantabria.

It’s truly a pleasure to meet couples as joyful as Andrea and David. Seeing them laugh, look at each other, cry, hug, and enjoy every moment as they do gives us wedding photographers such beautiful moments that only they will have.
