Heretat Sabartés Wedding | Sitges Wedding Venue

Vero and Pablo said “I do” facing the Mediterranean, in the beautiful Church of Sitges, and afterward celebrated their wedding at Heretat Sabartés, one of the most characterful wedding venues in Penedès, Tarragona. A manor house surrounded by century-old vineyards, it’s the kind of place I always look forward to returning to.

Weddings like this, with a ceremony on the coast and a celebration at a country estate inland, are common in my work as a destination wedding photographer in Catalonia. I’ll admit that coordinating locations, guests, and timing calmly, well before the day arrives, is what allows everyone to enjoy it without rushing.

The Church of Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla is part of the landscape of Sitges in a very special way. For Vero and Pablo, it was also a place full of meaning. There they shared a deeply emotional ceremony, surrounded by family and friends who had traveled from different parts of Spain.

One of the moments I remember most were their vows. There were silences, smiles, and the occasional inevitable tear. As wedding photographers, these are exactly the moments we look to document: emotions that happen only once and end up becoming some of the most treasured memories of a wedding.

After the ceremony, we took a few minutes to walk through some corners of Sitges with them.

Without straying too far from their guests, and without turning the wedding photo session into an endless one. Just walking, talking about everything that had just happened, and enjoying that small pause that so many couples appreciate on their wedding day.

The Mediterranean light stayed with us the whole way and let us create images deeply connected to who Vero and Pablo really are: natural, warm, and without artifice.

When we arrived at Heretat Sabartés, we couldn’t resist photographing some of its corners. This place is special because it works especially well for a wedding. It lets everything unfold calmly. And I… had been looking forward to coming back.

The outdoor cocktail hour was one of those moments where the venue truly shone. While guests shared conversations and reunions, we stayed focused on all those small gestures that end up building the full story of the day.

When I think about Vero and Pablo’s wedding, I don’t just remember the places or the big moments of the day.

I remember the way they looked at each other. The emotion on their families’ faces. The words shared during the ceremony. The energy of the party once night fell. And also the warmth with which they made us feel part of it all.

I want to especially thank Vero and Pablo for the trust they placed in us to accompany them on such an important day. And, of course, the entire team at Heretat Sabartés for their warmth, professionalism, and for making everything run so smoothly throughout the celebration.
